ORBIT CAPITAL was founded in early 2000 by Greg Baynton and ABN AMRO Morgans (later renamed RBS Morgans) and is now independently-owned by interests associated with Greg Baynton.
ORBIT CAPITAL’s Managing Director, Greg Baynton, has extensive experience in founding and structuring new companies, raising seed and venture capital, and managing IPOs and secondary capital raisings.
In addition to capital raisings, his experience includes mergers and acquisitions, in-bound foreign investment, commercial negotiations, corporate governance and investor communication. He is generally experienced in the management of ASX-listed entities.
Greg has significant experience in identifying new opportunities for investment or acquisition for principal investment or for ORBIT CAPITAL’s clients. He and ORBIT CAPITAL’s associates have significant expertise in corporate strategy, investor relations and communication.
Greg’s career has spanned the public and private sectors, including appointments in investment banking, merchant banking, start-ups, managing IPOs, public company directorships, Queensland Treasury, and The Department of Mines and Energy.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), a Master of Economic Studies (UQ), a Post-graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment (SIA), and an MBA in New Venture Management (QUT).
He was an Authorised Representative of ABN AMRO Morgans Corporate Limited and is a founding Director of a number of ASX-listed companies. Greg was a long-term Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors for more than a decade and a Fellow of FINSIA.
